PNI FlightDeck

THE CHALLENGE

Print businesses have many challenges in how they manage the logistics of their workflow. When you create a product like Apollo that is set to increase demand for custom print production, you also increase the logistical complexity a business will face in meeting that demand.

The previous system required that businesses purchase several modules to complete business printing orders and therein was the opportunity.

How do we distill that process into one comprehensive module? How do we take all of that complexity and simplify it in one, workflow-friendly solution? Enter PNI FlightDeck.

PNI FlightDeck will soon run in 1500 Staples stores as well as 20 closed-door production facilities in North America.

THE RESULT

With PNI FlightDeck, we endeavored to create a web-based application that enabled print companies to streamline their print production processes. Instead of the multiple-module structure, we centralized job flow in one, sweeping management system.

Since going to market in December, 2015, PNI FlightDeck has met and exceeded the increased demand of our Apollo successes. We have markedly increased turn around, ease and productivity for Staples and its associates. PNI FlightDeck will soon run in 1500 Staples stores as well as 20 closed-door production facilities in North America with all Staples orders funneling through it. Our Austin, Texas team led the way in creating PNI FlightDeck and we couldn’t be more proud of them.
