PNI’s Vancouver, BC office is looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist to help support our client marketing initiatives by planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns and programs. In this role you'll report to the Marketing Manager, but you'll work with latitude and autonomy, owning the success of your assigned clients. This position plays a vital role in being the direct owner of 2 to 3 PNI Media client marketing portfolios.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and develop day-to-day marketing relationships with assigned client accounts.
Create and implement annual Marketing Plans for assigned client accounts.
Write creative briefs for creative development and manage projects through to completion, while working with internal copywriter to create engaging content
Develop and implement merchandising strategies for products
Coordinate design, production and implementation of online marketing campaigns and promotions
Use a data-driven approach to create digital marketing strategies for clients
Plan, maintain and update internal and client marketing schedules
Support business decisions by providing product, industry, market, and competitive analyses
Analyze clients' websites sales performance, usability, competitiveness, and marketing effectiveness and provide recommendations
Report, track and optimize digital marketing campaigns
Regularly create client facing presentations
Proactively document and create a library of competitors' marketing activities
Become the internal brand evangelist for assigned client accounts. Build and manage relationships with internal teams: creative, product management, account management, development, etc.
Work with Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing & Accounts to identify product and marketing opportunities
Assist Marketing Manager in implementing process improvement initiatives as necessary
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing
3+ years of experience in a marketing specialist level role, and ready for the next step
E-commerce or digital marketing responsibilities. Agency experience is an asset
2+ years of experience partnering with Tier 1, global or national brands is an asset
Experience with product roadmaps, marketing requirements, and marketing campaigns, as well as supporting business strategy
Experience managing external creative and digital marketing agencies and suppliers
Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills
Strong Google Analytics and product performance reporting skills
Competency in SEO, PPC, email and social media best practices.
Basic HTML knowledge is an asset
Extremely well organized, detail oriented, creative, and energetic
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English
Able to travel occasionally in Canada and the US for client meetings
